A campaign called Citizen Voice has organized a citizens' peace meeting in Kathmandu on Friday saying that the MCC agreement is against the interest of the country.
They have organized a citizens' peace meeting in Basantapur of Kathmandu to protest against the lack of MCC agreement in favor of national independence, co-existence and good governance.
Participants in the Citizens' Assembly had suggested the government not to take any action for the independence and self-respect of Nepal and Nepalese as the MCC agreement was treasonous.
The campaign against MCC has been on foot since June 19. According to the campaign, a civil peace meeting was held in Basantapur, Kathmandu on the eighth day of the march.
