India fifth affected country by corona virus
India is the fifth most affected country by the coronavirus. 245,670 cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in India till Saturday evening. There are 241,310 cases of infection in Spain.
According to Johns Hopkins University in the United States, India is the fifth most affected country, but the mortality rate is lower than that of Spain and Italy. There are 6,642 people infected with corona in India. The death toll is 33,774 in Italy and 27,134 in Spain.
In India, an average of 6,500 people were infected daily till a week ago, but for the fourth day in a row, about 10,000 infected people have been added. According to the Union Ministry of Health of India, one lakh 15 thousand 942 people are infected. One lakh 14 thousand 73 people have returned home free from infection.
According to the ministry, coronavirus infection has been tested on 4.524 million people in India so far. One lakh 37 thousand 938 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours alone.
Maharashtra is the most affected state. About 85,000 people have been infected in Maharashtra.
