Embankment work in Chitwan

The projects being implemented in different places of Chitwan under Terai Madhes Prosperity Program have gained momentum.The program run under the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has been carrying out programs targeting the people.

Hari Acharya, chairman of Bharatpur-4, said that the program has worked to protect the settlement by embanking the Narayani River along with Narayani Ashram Dham.

At a cost of Rs 2.5 million, embankment has been constructed along Narayani Dham at a length of 54 meters, 31 meters width and 10 and a half meters. There are 219 nets in the embankment filled with stones.

Although work has been done with a budget of Rs 2.5 million, locals say that more than Rs 5 million has been spent. The families of more than 300 people of Bharatpur-4 have been saved when the embankment was built there.

Saying that the entire work of embankment has been completed, locals say that more than four blocks of land have been removed for Narayani Dham.
