Dr. Basudev Pandey, chief of the disease control division, has claimed that the corona virus infection has not reached the community level in Nepal.
He claimed at a regular press conference of the Ministry of Health that most of the infected people came from abroad, which confirmed that there was no infection at the community level.
He also said that 98 percent of the infected people did not have any symptoms and the number of critically ill patients was low. He also informed that the contact tracing plant is working in collaboration with the state and local levels and the work of contact tracing will be more effective as more plants are expanded.
At present, 20 teams are conducting contact tracing in the division and three teams in each state, he said.Dr. Pandey said that a manpower team of 3,225 people will be formed for 'contact tracing'.
