Rath halted due to lockdown Construction of Rato Machhindranath Rath in Lalitpur has started.
The Sait Puja was to be started on March 10, but the Sait Puja was held only to indicate that the construction of the chariot was started symbolically as the Sait Puja was supposed to start on March 11.
The construction of the chariot has started in Pulchowk of Lalitpur after the administration gave its approval for the construction of the chariot. But the chariot ride and rath yatra have not been decided yet.
The idol has been placed at Bhajanpati in Machhindrabahal as the chariot could not be made this time as the chariot had to be mounted in Pulchowk on April 26 after taking a great bath.
Similarly, the construction work of Minnath's chariot, which will be accompanied by Rato Machhindranath in Tangal of Patan, has already started on July 15.
