It has been 19 years since the mysterious Durbar massacre that claimed the lives of ten people, including former King Birendra Shah.

V.S.The 'Darwar Massacre', which led to the annihilation of the then King Birendra Shah on June 3, 2009, is still a mystery.

Considered as one of the most unimaginable and mysterious events in the history of Nepal, the assassination of the then King Virendra, including Queen Aishwarya, Prince Dipendra and Nirajan, and Princess Shruti.

Although no program has been organized by the government on this day, which is being considered as a black day by the citizens, various organizations have been paying homage.

The Yogi Narharinath Trust Spiritual Council had organized a wreath-laying and tribute program at the statue of former King Birendra at Jawalakhel in Lalitpur between Lakdau.

An investigation committee was formed including the then Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Keshav Prasad Upadhyay and Speaker Taranath Ranabhat.

Although the committee has made public the report that Yuvaraj Dipendra Shah shot his own family and committed suicide by shooting himself, many do not believe it.
