The government's lockdown on the spread of the coronavirus, which has spread like a plague around the world, continues. The government has imposed lockdown in the country from March 25.

The number of people violating the lockdown has increased in the Kathmandu Valley after the government last extended the lockdown till 10 April. The number of vehicles plying on the road has also increased.

However, the police have tightened the check on the vehicles. Police have been taking strict action after seeing more vehicles on the road. Over the past few days, the police have been taking control of more than a thousand vehicles daily.

There is no ban on the operation of emergency service vehicles and the means of transporting food items are also in operation. Even on the inner-city streets, shoppers can be seen reaching out to shops near their homes.

Some shops have come into operation on the inner road.
