Ratnashamsher Thapa passed away
Renowned lyricist Ratnashamsher Thapa, who passed away on Thursday, was laid to rest on Friday.
After paying homage to Thapa on Friday morning, he was buried at Pashupati. Shrestha and artist Lagaet have paid homage to Thapa.
The artists sang songs composed by Thapa. Thapa, 82, died at Norvik Hospital in Thapathali, Kathmandu on Thursday.
He was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday after he had difficulty breathing. Thapa's songs like 'A Kancha Thattaima Yo Bansh Jaan Lagayo', 'Jaag Lamk Chamk Hey Naujawan Ho', 'Vichhodko Pida Naski Khapna' are popular.
The first songs sung by Narayan Gopal were written by Thapa. Thapa is survived by his wife and two sons.
