Government of India's assistance to Nepal

The Government of India has provided Covid-19 PCR test kit to Nepal with a testing capacity of 30,000 persons.

On behalf of the Government of India, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Vinay Mohan Quatra handed over the Covid-19 PCR to Health Minister Bhanubhakta Dhakal on Sunday.

According to the embassy, the test kit has been handed over to Pathoditect Covid-19 Qualitative RT PCR test kits produced by Mylab in Pune. The embassy is confident that with the help of the test kits provided as a gift to the Nepalese people by the Indian people, Nepalese health workers can perform PCR tests on 30,000 people.

Health Minister Dhakal said that corona testing has been done effectively in Nepal. Stating that the death of one person from Corona was sad, he said that the government was vigilant to prevent the spread of Corona.
