Deuba suggested the government to hold one-on-one talks with India first and then with India and China, regarding the understanding reached between China and India in 2015.

In the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed on the need to come to India for talks, said Foreign Minister Gyawali.

He said, “It was not justifiable to build a road and inaugurate it on the basis of diplomatic and international law, norms and views even after acknowledging that the problem in Lipulek and other areas has not been resolved.”
