Approval of the policy and program for the Fiscal Year 2077/78
The policy and program of the government for the fiscal year 2077\78 BS has been passed in the House of Representatives.
The policy and program presented by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari in the joint sitting of the parliament on May 22 was passed after two days of discussion.
Various parliamentarians had proposed amendments to the policy and program. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was scheduled to answer questions on the policy and program in Parliament on Tuesday.
The decision was presented after the amendment proposal put forward by the parliamentarians was not returned. MPs Dr Minendra Prasad Rijal, Durga Poudel, Prem Suwal, Laxman Lal Karna and Sarita Giri had proposed amendments to the policy and program.
The amendment proposal was rejected by the majority as the Speaker did not withdraw the proposal when he was given time to do so. After that, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota presented the policy and program for decision and it was passed by the majority.
Now, based on this, the government will present the budget for the coming fiscal year on May 30.The government will bring a budget this year with health as the first priority. The budget will allocate funds for the schemes announced by the policy and program.
The next meeting of the House of Representatives will be held on Tuesday, May 28 at 1 pm.
