The lawmakers have suggested the government to keep the health infrastructure in Nepal tight before repatriating Nepali nationals living abroad.

At a meeting of the International Relations Committee held at Singha Durbar on Wednesday, he said that embassies abroad should make appropriate arrangements for Nepalis.

Similarly, the lawmakers also expressed dissatisfaction over the government's ban on entry into the Indian border area even though citizens have been living there for a month and a half.

During the meeting, former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal said that it would be better to bring the citizens who have been in quarantine for a long time but are facing problems now and for various purposes.

However, he said that there should be proper system of health examination in Nepal. He said that special attention should be paid to health check-ups at border checkpoints as well.

MP Bhim Rawal said that the inability to bring homeless people to Nepal was undemocratic and tyrannical. The lawmakers questioned the remittances, saying that it would not create an environment for citizens living abroad to return home.

In the meeting, the officials of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security had presented the statistics that four lakh seven thousand citizens could return to Nepal.

Preparations are underway in Malaysia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and other countries to bring Nepali citizens to Nepal.

After the discussion, the meeting has directed to make arrangements to bring Nepalis in India and those who have been at the border for 35 days to the local level safely.

Similarly, the committee has asked the border security personnel to provide necessary health supplies, food and proper shelter from the point of view of corona prevention.
