Protest in Kathmandu on Tuesday against the inter-caste Rukum incident
A protest has taken place in Kathmandu on Tuesday against the incident that took place in Chaurjahari Municipality-8 of Rukum on the issue of inter-caste love affair.
The Nepal Dalit Students' Union (NDSU) has staged a protest at Maitighar Mandal in Kathmandu against the death of a Dalit youth of Bheri Municipality-4 of Jajarkot in Chaurjahari Municipality-8 of Rukum.
The protesters have demanded strict action against the culprits and not to leave the incident on political grounds.
The bodies of Nawaraj Bik of Bheri Municipality-4, Ganesh Budha Magar and Tikaram Sunar of Chaurjahari Municipality-1 have been found.
Govinda Shahi of Bheri Municipality-11, Lokendra Sunar and Sandeep Bik of Bheri Municipality-4 are missing.
The Home Ministry has formed an investigation committee to investigate the incident.
